Eric Alley was born and raised in the rural southwest mountains of Montana, to parents raising a family, farming, and ranching the land that his father was given by his father, and by his father before that. The American West was formed into Eric’s worldview from the very start and finds different ways of expressing itself though his art and lifestyle.

Eric has been painting for over 22 years, many of them exploring deep into the craft and history of oil painting.  

Eric currently splits his time living between Montana, on the same land passed down through his family, and Portugal.
